Data & Insights
Energy research is vital for building a clean and more secure energy future for Ireland. Learn about the research that SEAI carries out, and the statistical data we produce.
Open data resources
SEAI Data and Insights team supports Ireland’s open data strategy by making data available and easily accessible online, for reuse and redistribution. At the Open Data Portal, non-personal data is available in machine readable formats.
If you are a GIS user, download SEAIs spatial maps of wind speed at different heights, wind farm locations or heating and cooling demand. If you are looking for national energy values, download Ireland’s Energy Balance or oil-product deliveries.Download here
Energy Data Portal
Our energy data portal shows how Ireland has used energy historically across different fuels and sectors. You can also view how energy use is projected to change out to 2030.Visit the energy data portal
