SEAI have a registered products list (see below) for the scheme to guide grant applicants in selecting their preferred equipment.

These lists comprise products which satisfy defined criteria for Phase III of the Greener Homes Scheme.

Compliance with Building Regulations Part L (2007)

The products on these registered product lists have been tested in accordance with the relevant European standards and are assumed to be proper materials for the purpose of Part L of the Building Regulations. (See section 1.2.6 of Technical Guidance Document L (2007))

However, it should be noted that the dwelling as a whole, incorporating these products, must comply with all Parts of the Building Regulations. Third party certification bodies e.g. NSAI/IAB are available to assess compliance with all parts of the Building Regulations.

When choosing and installing these products in a particular dwelling, necessary maintenance and access for repair or replacement should be fully considered.

Qualified installers may include SEAI registered installers, FAS trained plumbers who have completed the renewable technologies module or similar.

If you are applying for a grant and your chosen product/system is not already listed, then you must have the supplier submit the details to become listed before SEAI can accept a grant application.

If you are a manufacturer/supplier but have not yet registered your product, you can submit a Product/Supplier Application form to SEAI along with the required support materials. If your product satisfies all criteria, then it can be added to one of our registered lists above.
