Contract for WorksIt is a requirement of registration that all Contractors have a written contract with homeowners for all works undertaken under the Better Energy Homes scheme. Homeowners are therefore required to comply with this requirement and ensure that there is a contract in place between the Homeowner and the Contractor, which will ensure appropriate levels of consumer protection. (Note SEAI have made a so called model contract available on its website to help in this process.) In instances where a Contractor refuses to comply with this requirement then homeowners are urged not to proceed with this contractor and to notify SEAI accordingly at 1850 927000. |
