How to use

Download Energy Fact Translator (you can then save this on your own computer for further use). Input relevant information i.e. operating hours, quantity, item under the various topics. E.g. Operating hours = 8, quantity = 46, item = 5ft fluorescent tube. This gives you an energy value of 21.34kWh.

Select an ‘Energy Equivalent’ to translate this fact e.g. ‘Boil a full kettle’. Output = 142. This means that operating 46 5ft fluorescent tubes for 8 hours a day is the same as boiling 142 full kettles.

Use these facts in your posters, presentations, emails etc. to highlight information about energy use in your business.
